Hardin County Retired Teacher Association Luncheon Scheduled April 17

The Hardin County Retired Teacher Association will have a luncheon meeting at the Kenton Elks on April 17 at noon. The speakers will be Katie Roby and Amanda Murphy who will speak about Blacks Orchard. The lunch cost is $12, and RSVP's need to be made by April 13 by calling 567-674-4536. Donations will be for God’s Lifeline. Guests are welcome along with any Hardin County retired teacher.

BKP Ambulance District BKP Ambulance District is sending a team to be part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids' Sake this Saturday, April 11. Ada 5th Graders Celebrate Completion of D.A.R.E. Program

Ada Bulldogs The Ada School District recently celebrated 5th grade students who successfully completed the D.A.R.E. Program. Over the past few months, students have learned lessons about making safe, responsible choices and standing strong in the face of peer pressure. New Knoxville Driver Unharmed After Turkey Smashes Windshield on Elida Road

A New Knoxville woman had a scary moment Monday afternoon while driving on Elida Road in Allen County. According to the report from the American Township Police Department, 28-year-old Samantha Wehe was driving west on Elida Road when a turkey flew into her path and struck her windshield. The impact caused the windshield to shatter and the interior trim to come loose, which made the vehicle inoperable. Wehe was not injured.
