Starting today, the elevator at the Lima Municipal Center will be out of service for approximately six weeks while necessary work is being completed. Wyandot County Fair officials alerted residents about a scam. A vendor reported that they received an email appearing to use the Wyandot County Fair name and email address requesting payment via wire transfer. Fair officials stated that they will never ask you to send payment via wire transfer, and you should not send payment or respond to any request like that. Fall Prevention Awareness Day and Health Fair Planned in Lima

Area Agency on Aging 3, which provides services to Hardin County residents, will host a Fall Prevention Awareness Day and Health Fair on Tuesday, September 22. It will take place from 9:00-11:00 am at 2423 Allentown Road in Lima. Those attending will learn about ways to prevent falls among older adults. Several agencies will also be on hand to educate, increase awareness, and provide resources on falls and fall prevention for older adults.

One of Dolly Parton's many lasting legacies is the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. Inspired by her father who could not read or write, she created her book gifting program so children could develop their own love of reading. The program has mailed over 330 million books to children, and nearly 28 million have been sent to children in Ohio. **Updated- Driver Identified** Fatal Crash Under Investigation in Findlay

A fatal accident occurred in the City of Findlay late Wednesday morning. According to a release, a vehicle was parked in a private parking lot in the 800 block of Western Avenue, and the driver, later identified as 43-year-old Devon B. Ammons, then drove westbound until the vehicle struck a semi-trailer in an adjacent parking lot. Ammons was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances regarding the accident are still under investigation.

Hardin Northern to Hold Parent Meeting for Washington D.C. Trip

Hardin Northern will host a parent information meeting Thursday evening concerning the 7th and 8th grade Washington D.C. trip. It will start at 7:30 tomorrow evening in the High School gymnasium. Information shared will be student official agreement contract details, student pricing, payment dates, and more. The trip is scheduled for May 17-20 2027.
