Free Fishing Days Return to Ohio This Weekend

Ohio’s annual free fishing days will be this tomorrow, June 20, and Sunday, June 21. That is when all residents get a chance to fish at any public waterway without a license. This includes Lake Erie and Ohio’s public lakes, reservoirs, streams, and rivers. June 20 and 21 is the only weekend of the year on which residents 16 years old and older can fish public waters without purchasing a fishing license. You can find more information by clicking here.

Waynesfield Man Sentenced and Ada Woman Expected to Change Plea

A Waynesfield man was sentenced this week in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to Court records, 40-year-old Daniel Lee Boutwell was sentenced to 48 months in prison. The case dates to January of this year, and Boutwell was indicted on one count of felonious assault and two counts of domestic violence in February. He pleaded guilty to one count of domestic violence in April and was originally scheduled to be sentenced on May 20, but that was changed to […]

Governor DeWine Announces Transportation Investments to Support Economic Development Projects

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Lt. Governor Jim Tressel, and Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Director Pamela Boratyn today announced $8.5 million in funding that will improve transportation infrastructure to support ongoing economic development projects in 21 counties.
