Findlay Woman Arrested in Bluffton Prostitution Sting; Drugs and Firearm Seized

A Findlay woman was arrested Monday afternoon after the Hancock County METRICH Drug Task Force, assisted by the Hancock County Sheriff’s office, conducted a prostitution sting at the Fairway Inn, located at 855 State Route 103 in Bluffton. According to a release, the operation yielded a large amount of suspected liquid methamphetamine, 88 tablets of LSD, 6 Schedule II pills, 1 gun, and drug paraphernalia. Mobile Health Clinic at Bluffton Public Library Scheduled for April 9

ONU HealthWise Pharmacy The next Mobile Health Clinic at the Bluffton Public Library will be held on Thursday, April 9 from 9am to 11am. All services are provided by individuals with the Ohio Northern University Healthwise program. This clinic includes free screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol and flu vaccines. Participants may speak with ONU Healthwise students and staff about their results or concerns and even receive referrals to area doctors.

Preston Cemetery in Alger to Hold Annual Clean-Up April 1–15

Preston Cemetery's Annual Clean-Up will take place April 1 through 15. You are encouraged to pick up and take home any items you wish to keep. The area has experienced several strong windstorms over the past month, so some items may have been displaced. If you locate them, you should take them home until after April 15. All items remaining at the cemetery in Alger after April 1st will be removed and discarded.

Two-Vehicle Crash Reported on US 68 Near Dunkirk

A crash occurred Monday evening on US 68 just north of the intersection with State Route 81 in Dunkirk. According to the report from the Hardin County Sheriff's Office, 20-year-old Drew Cook, of Lima, was driving south on 68 and attempted to turn left into a gas station. The Hardin County Fair Board expressed their commitment to cleanup and rebuild the fairgrounds after last week's devasting tornado. On its website, they announced that fairgrounds electrician Dennis Hinton and his team were able to restore electricity to the Caretaker’s House, Maintenance Shop, and Office, and they will continue to work on repairing downed poles and lines across the fairgrounds.
