Hardin Northern Local School District Hardin Northern History Brigade hosted its 9th annual Living History Day on Tuesday. Living historians from across the state guided elementary students through the past with demonstrations and presentations covering several different eras. The Hardin County Board of Elections will meet tomorrow. The meeting will start at 9:00 Thursday morning in the Board Office, located in the basement of the Hardin County Courthouse in downtown Kenton. This will be their regular board meeting and, they will conduct public logic and accuracy testing on the voting equipment.
Upper Scioto Valley School District Upper Scioto Valley 4th grade students are turning science into an island adventure. As part of their Landform unit, students rolled up their sleeves to mix salt dough, mold custom islands, and paint their own unique landforms. The teams are now teaming up to design custom travel brochures to persuade visitors to explore their newly created destinations. Hardin SWCD Hardin Soil and Water Conservation District is holding a Forestry Field Day on Sunday, October 18. It will be held in Community Building, and doors will open at 10:00 am. The free community event will offer health screenings, door prizes and more. There will be over twenty area businesses present.
