Hardin County Fair officials announced that the total number of open class entries has exceeded last year’s total. The entries will be on display at the Hardin County Fair, which runs next week from September 8 through the 13. Hardin County Courthouse Entrance Receives Much-Needed Makeover

Several aesthetic improvements have been made on the south entrance of the Hardin County Courthouse in Kenton. Keep Hardin County Beautiful recently gave the entrance around the doors a much-needed facelift. The project was made possible through grants from Keep America Beautiful and the Hardin County Community Foundation. The southside doors are the primary entrance into the courthouse since a new security screening went into effect in February of this year.

OVI Checkpoint in Auglaize County Results in No Arrests

The Ohio State Highway Patrol released the results of an OVI checkpoint that was in Auglaize County this past Saturday night. It was conducted in coordination with the Wapakoneta Police Department on County Road 25A, just north of State Route 67 in Auglaize County. There were no injuries reported in a two-vehicle crash that occurred late this past Saturday morning on US 68 north of Bellefontaine. Two Injured After Loose Tire Strikes Car on US 30 in Hancock County

Two people were injured in an accident that occurred this past Saturday afternoon on US 30 in Hancock County. According to the report from the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, 34-year-old Si Yi Russell, of Payne, Ohio, was driving east on 30 when a tire broke loose on a pickup truck in the westbound lanes. No Injuries Reported After Riverdale Bus Hits Deer

Riverdale School officials announced that bus number 15 struck a deer this morning. The incident happened at around 7:40 on Township Road 149. There was no danger to the students and no damage to the bus, which was able to continue the route and was at the school on time.

Allen County Fair Heads Into Final Weekend

The 2026 Allen County Fair in Lima is heading into the home stretch. Lots of activities are on the schedule today, and that includes the Demolition Derby in the grandstand starting at 7:00 this evening. Saturday in the last day to take in the fair this year. Gates open at 7:00 Saturday morning, and rides open at noon. America 250th Celebration fireworks will begin at dusk on Saturday. The 117th Allen County closes at 11:00 Saturday night.

Ada Harvest and Herb Parade Entries Due September 5

The Ada Chamber of Commerce Harvest and Herb Parade Committee invites you to participate in this year’s Parade. Parade entry forms need to be submitted by September 5. It will start at 10am on Saturday September 19, and line-up will be one hour prior.
