Hardin Northern’s Polar Pantry Provides 714 Snacks to Students in September

Hardin Northern Local School District During September, Hardin Northern’s after-school Polar Pantry provided 714 easy-to-grab, on-the-go snacks to students involved in extracurricular activities.That is an average of 55 snacks per day, with 97 different students utilizing the Polar Pantry throughout the month. The Polar Pantry is made possible by members of the community who continue to support the snack program through their donations. Ada Announces Fall Leaf Collection Schedule Beginning October 26

The Village of Ada Public Works crew is gearing up for another season of leaf collection. Collection dates in the village will run from October 26 through November 19. To ensure leaves are collected, residents should rake leaves within two feet of the curb so the vacuum equipment can reach the piles. Delphos Man Arrested After Crime Task Force Seizes Suspected Cocaine and Mushrooms

A man was arrested on the Van Wert County side of Delphos this week after the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of South Cass Street in the village. An Alger man was sentenced by Judge Steve Christopher on one count of involuntary manslaughter in Hardin County Common Pleas Court Wednesday. Wilson Sporting Goods Workers in Ada Reject Contract Offer

Wilson Sporting Goods workers overwhelmingly turned down the latest contract offer from the company in voting that took place Thursday evening. Derek Gibson, president of Local 1385 of Workers United, said that 99% of the workers voted against the contract. Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Marion Technical College is conducting a Clothing Drive for a Cause. Childen's, men's and women's clothing will be accepted. Clothing donations will be taken to Turning Point in Marion, which provides help to victims of domestic violence.
