Riverdale School's Board of Education accepted the resignation of a bus driver at its meeting Monday evening after an incident involving Bus number 17 on Monday. Superintendent Greg Rossman said the incident occurred when the driver stopped at a steep railroad crossing in Forest, and the he activated the lights and opened the door, which is the standard protocol at a railroad crossing. Upper Sandusky School's annual “Drive your Tractor to School Day” for FFA members will be this Thursday, February 26. Drivers and/or parents should be aware that Houpt Drive may be blocked by tractors from 7:40 to 7:50 Thursday morning. Plan to arrive at school before 7:40 AM to avoid delays. Also, the front of the High School will be blocked to traffic beginning at 7:45 to accommodate the tractors.

Kenton-OHP FFA Chapter A Kenton-OHP FFA Chapter member has made to the TOP 4 in Ohio for his Proficiency Award in the area of Grain Production. Karsen Sprang will interview on March 19th. He will then find out his final placing at State Convention on May 1st at 6:30 pm.
The Hardin County Honor Band performance will be this Sunday, March 1. It will start at 4pm at the new Kenton Performing Arts Center, located at 751 Wildcat Way in Kenton. Several high school band students from Ada, Hardin Northern, Kenton, Ridgemont and Upper Scioto Valley will be performing.
Joe Bayliff's Route 30 Harley-Davidson Upper Sandusky Police Department received a check from Joe Bayliff's Route 30 Harley-Davidson. It was in the amount of $1200. The money was raised from the Biker Ball held this month at the business. The check was presented on Monday.
The Alger Library Board of Trustees announced a new Library Director. Brittany Roy has accepted the position, and she will be responsible for managing library operations and services for patrons throughout the USV School District. She has been a Library Assistant at the Library for about seven years. Roy has been involved with many programs, administrative duties, and helping maintain the Library’s Facebook page. The trustees expressed their confidence that she will be an excellent match for the Director’s duties.
