Classic Scooter Swap Meet Coming May 15-18

The 24th Mid-Ohio Classic Scooter Swap Meet is scheduled to take place May 15-18 at the Hardin County Fairgrounds in Kenton.   You will be able to Buy, Sell and Trade all makes and models of machines 25 years and older.   The event features group Scooter rides, Poker Run and Show Trophies.     A free Hot Dog Picnic Dinner on Friday evening May 17, and an opportunity to hang out with your favorite scooter fanatics.

HN Cheerleaders Selling Domino’s Pizza Cards

The Hardin Northern High School Cheerleaders are putting on a fundraiser to raise money for cheer camp.   Slice the Price Domino's Pizza cards can be purchased for $10 from any cheerleader.   The card will get you buy one get one free pizza and can be used multiple times through December 31, 2019!   You can buy 5 pizzas and get 5 free.   The sale ends Friday May 10th.

Village-Wide Garage Sales Underway in Forest

Forest Garage Sale Days start today in the village.   Multiple addresses in Forest as well as several addresses in the country will be participating.   The sales run through Saturday May 11.   The Church in the Park Committee will be selling grilled hamburgers, brats and hot dogs in the Martin's Meat Mart parking lot today and Friday from 9am until 2pm.

President Laura Ferguson welcomed 22 members and guests Melissa Ridinger, Ashlinn Anthony, Cheryl Fout, and Barb Flory to the Kenton & Hardin County Soroptimist International meeting on May 2 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Kenton. Marion County Board of DD Levy Suffers Narrow Defeat

The Marion County Board of Developmental Disabilities levy failed by a razor thin margin Tuesday.   There were 2736 votes against the 1.7 mill levy. 2708 voted yes.   Three other money issues were passed in the Primary Election.   The Marion Township Road District additional 1.5 mill levy passed 574-517.   The Pleasant Local School District 1% income tax levy passed 1088 in favor, 815 against.   The River Valley Local School District 1% income tax levy passed 1083-936.

New Corrections Officer Welcomed at Allen County Sheriff’s Office

A new corrections officer was welcomed by the Allen County Sheriff's Office today.   Dana Houston is a graduate of Lima Senior High School and Western Michigan University.   He served for 15 years in the U.S. Army, which included several deployments.   Houston is an avid track fan, and coaches cross-country and track and field at several local high schools.
