No Primary Election in Hardin County Today

While this is Primary Election Day around Ohio, that is not the case in Hardin County.   According to a release from the Hardin County Board of Elections, there were no contested races to necessitate an election.   The next election will be the General Election on November 5.

Kenton Woman Arrested in Domestic Violence Charge

A Kenton woman was issued a summons after a domestic disturbance situation late Monday morning.   According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West Franklin Street in reference to a domestic violence incident.   Following an investigation, it was learned that an assault took place between two sisters.   The suspect, identified as 35 year old Tiffany Powell, was allegedly the aggressor and was arrested.

Heartbeat of Hardin County Recipient of Elks Grant

Ridgemont Fundraiser Features Wearing a Hat to School on Mondays in May

Ridgemont students are encouraged to wear a hat to school as a fundraiser.   Kindergarten through 12th grade students and staff will be able to wear a hat every Monday in May if they bring in $1.   The money collected will go to the Homeless Outreach Project.   There are two Monday's left to raise the money. That is on the 13th and the 20th.

Bicycle Safety Day Set in Wapakoneta

Bicycle Safety Day is being held in Wapakoneta this Saturday May 11.   The event is for ages 18 and younger, and will be held from 10am-1pm Saturday at the TSC Garage, across from the Wapakoneta Fire Department.   Parents are being asked to attend with their child.   A Bicycle Rodeo will be held, and free bicycle helmets will be handed out.   You can bring your bicycle and helmet for free inspections.   There will also be drawings […]

Fire at Walmart in Kenton Forces Evacuation of Store

A fire inside Walmart in Kenton this (Monday) evening has forced the evacuation of the store. (photo submitted by listener Summer Wells) The Kenton Fire Department was dispatched this evening. Mutual assistance was provided by the Forest Fire Department. BKP Ambulance was on the scene, but there were no initial reports of injuries.
