U of F Announces Outstanding Undergraduate Faculty Advisor of the Year Awards

The University of Findlay is pleased to announce the winners of the 2019 Outstanding Undergraduate Faculty Advisor of the Year award.  The award, developed by the Academic Advising Committee, recognizes a faculty member from each college who has had a positive influence on undergraduate students through academic advising. Commissioners Get Update from Chamber and Business Alliance

Hardin County Veterans Program Expanding to Dunkirk

The Hardin County Veterans Banner project is expanding.   Roger Crowe, who created the project, said that the banners will now be placed in the Village of Dunkirk.   Anyone who has purchased a banner can request to have them moved to Dunkirk if they notify Crowe by May 13.   The process to put the banners up will begin the middle of this month.   If you would like to request to have a banner moved to Dunkirk, call […]

Man Arrested in Connection to Setting Fire at Kenton’s Walmart

An arrest has been made in connection to a fire at Walmart Monday evening. Kenton Police Chief Dennis Musser said that 26 year old Caleb Poole was taken into custody in Columbus Tuesday afternoon. His last known address was Frederickstown. The chief said he was transferred to the custody of the FBI and is facing charges of arson and perhaps terrorism. Hardin County Schools Lockdown Lifted After Suspect was Apprehended

The lockdown at Hardin County schools has been lifted with the apprehension of a suspect. According to Sheriff Keith Everhart, the lockdown was put in effect when information was received that a man made a threat toward a school possibly in Hardin County. The suspect was apprehended following a short pursuit. His name has not yet been released.

Hardin County Schools on Lockdown Due to Threat

As a precaution, all Hardin County schools have been on lock down due to an indirect threat. According to Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart, a male subject in Allen County stated he was going to "shoot up a school." Since the suspect has family in Hardin County, the decision was made to place the schools on lockdown. (UPDATE) Kenton Walmart Remains Closed Today Following Fire on Monday

Kenton's Walmart is closed today due to a fire Monday evening that started in the women's clothing section of the store.   According to information from the Kenton Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched around 6:50 Monday evening and upon arrival, smoke was visible coming from the market side entrance of the building.   The sprinkler system in the store was activated which prevented the fire from spreading.   Employees reported hearing an explosion, and the Allen County Bomb Squad and […]
