The 2019 Hardin Northern FFA Banquet will take place this Thursday April 4 in the Hardin Northern Junior High Gym. The event will start at 6 that evening, and all members are required to attend wearing official dress. Parents, grandparents and community members are encouraged to attend in support of the members and their accomplishments throughout the year. A catered meal will be served. The cost of each plate is $15.

A Lima man was injured after being shot Thursday evening in that city. According to a release from the Lima Police Department, officers were dispatched to 2260 Lake Circle to investigate. 28 year old Tyson Downton was found lying on the ground outside an apartment building. He was transported to the hospital for treatment of multiple gunshot wounds. He was apparently arguing with 25 year old Mario Mathis Jr., also of Lima, just prior to being shot. […]
Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart hosted the Northwest District Buckeye State Sheriffs’ Association monthly meeting on Thursday. The featured speakers were Kim Reisinger and Brock Manns from OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital. They spoke on the benefits of collaborating with local law enforcement to better serve the community. Sheriff Everhart thanked all the sheriffs and staff for attending. The meeting was held at Basil’s Italian Kitchen in downtown Kenton.
A LaRue man was injured after his vehicle struck a deer on State Route 739 in Union County Thursday morning. A Richwood woman was charged with a liquor violation in Union County Thursday. According to the Daily Media Release from the Union County Sheriff's Office, deputies and agents from the Ohio Investigative Unit witnessed the sale of alcohol to an underage person. The alleged incident occurred in the 23,000 block of State Route 4. 58 year old Gina M. Tripp was issued a citation for the sale of alcohol to an underage person.
