Styer Wins Kenton School Board Race After Official Canvass

A race determining a seat on the Kenton City Schools Board of Education changed as a result of the Official Canvass from the Hardin County Board of Elections. Election Day results on November 4 showed Jayna Jansen defeating Mike Styer 219 to 203 votes, but as is always pointed out, those were the unofficial results. Thursday Marked the End of the Line for Two Kenton School Buildings

Thursday November 20, 2025 was the last day that classes were held in two Kenton school buildings. Kenton Middle School and the B and C sections of Kenton High School are scheduled to be razed in the Spring of 2026. Kenton Middle School and Kenton High School are on an extended Thanksgiving Break. A rural Roundhead man changed his plea to guilty on a charge involving child pornography in the United States Northern Ohio District Court in Toledo this (Tuesday November 18) afternoon. Hardin County Reschedules Meeting for the Official Canvas of the Nov 4 Election

The Hardin County Board of Elections will meet on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 for the Official Canvass of the November 4th General Election. The meeting will start at 9:00 a.m. in their office in the Hardin County Courthouse in Kenton. The Official Canvass was originally scheduled for November 13th at 9:00 a.m., but was postponed. In addition, the board will review the minutes of the November 4th and November 13th meetings and approve bills.
