Kasler and Schwemer Easily Win Republican Primary Races; Flowers Runs Unopposed on Democratic Ballot; Riverdale School Renewal Levy Decided

Races are set for this Fall after Tuesday’s Primary Election. On the Republican ballot for Hardin County Commissioner, Michael Kasler won in a landslide. He picked up 1442 votes. The next top vote getter was Paul Osborne with 658 votes, third was Michelle Laubis with 590 and Bob Carder got 303 votes. There were some anxious moments on the campus of Ohio Northern University in Ada Tuesday. At around 2:25 Tuesday afternoon, a bomb threat was received and the campus was evacuated, and students were sheltered at Ada High School. After a couple of weeks of declines, average prices for a gallon of gasoline increased since last week. Cano to Become Next Bath Schools Superintendent

The Bath Local Schools Board of Education announced that Andrew Cano will be appointed as the district’s next superintendent. The hiring is expected to be made official at a special meeting on Monday April 27. The former Hardin Northern superintendent will succeed Mike Estes, who will be retiring on July 31.
