Lake of Lights Releases 2025 Schedule of Events

The 2025 schedule of events for Lake of Lights at Salisbury Park in Kenton has been released. Opening night is November 28th, and it will continue from 6 until 9 nightly through New Year's Eve. Admission id $5 per car. Ohio Hi-Point Announces First Quarter Superintendent’s List, Honor Roll

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio – Ohio Hi-Point Career Center recently announced the career center’s Superintendent’s List, Honor Roll and half-day Honor Roll for the first nine weeks. To be eligible for the Superintendent’s List students must receive all A’s, while Honor Roll students must receive letter grades of B or better. Write-In Candidates Blum, Miller and Jansen Win Contested Races

Several contested races involving write-in candidates in Tuesday's election have been decided. In the Kenton Council-at-large race, Doris Blum received 162 votes. Curtis Castle picked up 111, and Ray Lawrence got 61 votes. Blum was appointed to city council in October. E. Lydia Miller will represent the city's 2nd Ward on council. Kenton Woman Injured in Crash Tuesday Afternoon

A Kenton woman was injured in a two vehicle crash that occurred at 4:35 Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Main and Espy Streets in Kenton. According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, 61-year-old Rebeccah Brown was driving west on Espy and attempted to turn left onto Main on a red light. The 2025 Hardin County Agriculture Hall of Fame inductees have been announced. They are Bert C. Frederick, Gary Flinn, Gary Jackson, Gene McCluer and Max Montgomery. McCafferty Pleads Not Guilty to Aggravated Murder and All Other Charges in Multi-Count Indictment

A Mt. Victory man pleaded not guilty to all charges in a multi-count indictment in Hardin County Common Pleas Court Monday. 46-year-old Andrew McCafferty entered the pleas on charges of aggravated murder, murder, involuntary manslaughter, felonious assault and two counts of tampering with evidence.
