Appeals Court Upholds Murder Conviction and Life Sentence for Marion Man

A Marion man's appeal of his conviction and sentence in a murder trial in Marion County Common Pleas Court has been denied. Justin Brady was found guilty on two counts of aggravated murder, three counts of murder and two counts of felonious assault. The case dates back to July of 2023 when Brady shot and killed his sleeping roommate, D'Jontaez Ross. Kenton Woman Sentenced to 14–18 Years for Fatal State Route 309 Crash

On April 17, 2025, deputies from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of 12757 State Route 309 on the report of a serious injury crash involving two vehicles. Upon arrival, deputies located three victims. Dennis Covault was pronounced deceased at the scene. His spouse, Louise Covault, sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a Columbus-area hospital for treatment.
