Laurie Haney was presented her certificate at this week's meeting by Nic Baumer, Hardin County ANR Educator. Haney is presenting a program on Raised Bed Gardening at the Ada Public Library this Saturday, February 28th at 1:00 pm. The library is at 320 North Main Street in Ada.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Nearly 200 fire departments across the state will soon receive funding to better equip themselves to protect Ohio communities. The Ohio Department of Commerce Division of State Fire Marshal has announced the recipients of a first-of-its-kind Small County Volunteer Fire Department (SCVFD) Grant that was established during the 136th General Assembly via House Bill 96. Two Arrested After Narcotics Search Warrant Executed at Findlay Residence

This morning, at approximately 1:00 a.m., the Hancock County METRICH Drug Task Force assisted by the Findlay Police Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a narcotic search warrant at 2034 Elyria St. Findlay OH, 45840.    The search of the residence yielded 11 ounces of suspected methamphetamine and multiple items indicative of drug trafficking. Hardin County Common Pleas Court: Child Endangerment Arraignment, Drug Case Sentencing

A Kenton woman was arraigned Tuesday in Hardin County Common Pleas Court on two counts of domestic violence and eight counts of endangering children. Kiera N. Browne was indicted on those charges earlier this month. According to court documents, several of the endangering children counts allege that Browne tortured or cruelly abused a then 9-year-old child. The offenses allegedly occurred July 10, 2025.
