Upper Scioto Valley FFA Chapter A longtime resident of the Upper Scioto Valley School District donated a piece of history to USV FFA chapter during their Farmers and 1st Responders' Breakfast this morning. Special Guest Ruby Sorgan donated the McGuffey FFA jacket that belonged to her late husband, Charles Theodore Sorgan, a 1955 graduate of McGuffey High School. Ribbon Cutting Scheduled for OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital’s New MRI Department

The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance announced that a ribbon cutting ceremony for OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital will be held on Wednesday, December 10. It will take place at 9:45 that morning at 921 East Franklin Street in Kenton. The ribbon cutting is to celebrate the completion of their new and permanent MRI department. After the ceremony, OhioHealth will also be celebrating with light refreshments in the McCullough Conference room.

Fatal Apartment Fire at Marion Towers Under Investigation

Marion firefighters responded to fatal fire at Marion Towers early Wednesday morning. Firefighters were dispatched at just before 2:30am to 400 Delaware Avenue and found heavy smoke in the hallway, and smoke coming from a single apartment door. Upon entering the apartment, firefighters found an elderly male victim unresponsive in a wheelchair and began rescue efforts before placing him in the care of paramedics who revealed the victim was dead.
