Two homes were damaged by fire over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. According to information from the Kenton Fire Department, the first one was reported at around 4:45pm on Thanksgiving Day at the home of David Beazley, 509 North Wayne Street. Deadly House Fire in Lima Under Investigation

Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Region; 3–5 Inches of Snow Possible Overnight

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for our area, including Union, Hardin, Auglaize, Shelby, and Logan counties. According to the National Weather Service, snow is expected to move in tonight, and 3 to 5 inches of accumulation is possible overnight. The advisory runs from 7:00 this evening until 10:00am Tuesday. Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions, and the hazardous conditions will likely impact the Tuesday morning commute.

Hardin County Agriculture Hall of Fame The 2025 Hardin County Agriculture Hall of Fame inductees will be honored next week. They are Bert C. Frederick, Gary Flinn, Gary Jackson, Gene McCluer, and Max Montgomery. The organization has been sharing information about each of the inductees over the last few weeks on their Facebook page. Dismissal of Charges Reported in Case of Former Logan County Deputy

Bellefontaine media sources are reporting that all criminal charges against a former Logan County Sheriff's deputy were dismissed with prejudice this week. John Puckett, of Kenton, was arrested in July of this year after an investigation by the Kenton Police Department concerning a domestic incident.
