Photo: Kenton City Schools Art students at Kenton High School recently finished four new Lake of Lights displays. They will be used for France Lake’s winter drive through light show later this year. The 2025 displays featured the music department’s Top Twenty, Ohio Hi-Point- Kenton FFA, the Business Professional Association, and a Kenton Rotary design. Elizabeth Arthur of Marion says support from her family and professors helped her walk at graduation despite a devastating diagnosis of multiple sclerosis during the semester. Marion Technical College proudly celebrated 452 graduates in a moving ceremony at the Marion Palace Theatre this May. Together, these students earned a total of 603 degrees and certificates. A business in Kenton was damaged by a fire Wednesday afternoon. According to information from the Kenton Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched at around 2:30pm to Large's Exhaust at 935 North Detroit Street. An officer involved shooting occurred Tuesday evening in the parking lot of Ralphie's Sports Eatery at 995 North Detroit Street in Kenton. According to a release from Kenton Police Chief Dennis Musser, the shooting occurred after officers responded to investigate a report of a stolen vehicle.
