Roundhead Man Arrested on Federal Child Pornography Charges Following FBI, Hardin County Sheriff Investigation

The Hardin County Sheriff's Office announced today (05/19/25) that the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office assisted the FBI in an investigation of child pornography that resulted in the arrest of a fifty-nine-year-old rural Roundhead man. Mark Butterman was taken into custody on federal charges of receipt and distribution of child pornography. Mr. Butterman was transported to Toledo, by the FBI, and was arraigned on the charges. More information will be provided once it becomes available.

Marion Man Killed in Early Sunday Morning Motorcycle Crash

A 27-year-old Marion man died in a motorcycle accident early Sunday morning on Caledonia Northern Road in Marion County. According to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Seth D. Reece failed to negotiate a curve, and the motorcycle ended up off the right side of the road where it overturned in a field. Reece was pronounced dead at the scene.
