Marion Bar Owner Facing Gambling Charges

The owner of Frosty Mug bar in Marion is facing gambling charges.   The Marion Star reported that 47 year old James R. Frank II, was indicted last month on one count of gambling and two counts of operating a gambling house.   The charges were filed following an investigation by the Ohio Investigative Unit, which investigates possible illegal activity in bars, restaurants and other places with liquor permits.   Two machines were seized as a result of the investigation.

Gasoline Prices Drop to Start Work Week

The average price for a gallon of gas in Hardin County dropped 11 cents from last week.   AAA reported that the average price for a gallon of regular grade gas is $2.55 today, compared to $2.66 from last week.   Hancock and Allen Counties had the cheapest prices in the region at $2.53 a gallon.   The most expensive is in Union County where the average cost is $2.67 a gallon.   The statewide average fell 21 cents per […]

OSP Releases Results of Weekend OVI Checkpoint in Findlay

Findlay- Driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs continues to be a national problem. The purpose of an OVI checkpoint is to increase public awareness of the impaired driving problem and to deter citizens from driving impaired in Hancock County and the City of Findlay. Kroger Crusaders Sponsoring 7th Annual Kids Carnival

The 7th Annual Kids Carnival, sponsored by the Kroger Crusaders Relay for Life Team, will be held from 5 until 9 Saturday evening at Wharton Park in Kenton.   There will be a train ride, a clown, laser tag as well as lots of games, prizes and food.   All of the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.

Crash Injures Forest Woman Thursday Evening

A Forest woman was injured in one vehicle crash Thursday evening.   According to information from the Hardin County Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred in the 16,000 block of State Route 67 east of Kenton.   The vehicle was heavily damaged, and the driver, Tanessa Montgomery, was trapped in the car and had to be extricated.   She was taken by helicopter to St. Vincent's Medical Center in Toledo.   BKP EMS and the Kenton and Forest Fire Departments assisted […]

Six people were sentenced recently in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.   According to documents from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's Office:   .Germaine A.
