Occupants Safe After Car Stalls in High Water

A car stalled out in high water covering a Wyandot County road Thursday morning.   According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched to County Highway 16 where they found the car submerged in water.   The two occupants were able to get out of the vehicle and swim to the side of the road. Rear Door of House Damaged in Attempted Burglary Incident

A criminal damaging incident was reported to Kenton police early Thursday morning.   According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of Smith Avenue in reference to a possible burglary.   Upon arrival, officers found that the rear door of the house was open, and damage was done to the door frame.   It is not believed that entry was gained to the house.   The incident is under […]

Fostoria Woman Arrested on Wyandot County Warrant

A Fostoria woman was arrested in that city on a warrant in Wyandot County.   According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, a deputy met with an officer from the Fostoria Police Department and took custody of Mara Simpson on a warrant for aggravated possession of drugs.   She was transported to the Wyandot County Jail.

PUCO Extends Temporary Regulatory Relief for Commercial Drivers

COLUMBUS, OHIO (June 6, 2019) – To aid in disaster relief following the Memorial Day tornadoes, the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) today extended temporary regulatory relief from the hours-of-service requirements for drivers operating commercial motor vehicles transporting motor vehicle fuel within the state of Ohio. The regulatory relief is effective immediately and will expire at 11:59 p.m. on June 13, 2019. Kenton Teen Among Two Arrested Following Logan County Traffic Stop

Findlay Man Indicted on Felonious Assault Charge

The Hancock County Grand Jury indicted a Findlay man on a charge of felonious assault.   WFIN Radio reported that 49 year old Sean Egler was indicted on the charge with a firearm specification following a shooting that occurred earlier this month at Egler's home on Edith Avenue in Findlay.   Egler is alleged to have shot Antonio Cortez following some sort of altercation.

OSP Conducting OVI Checkpoints in Auglaize and Hancock Counties

The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced that OVI Checkpoints  will be operated in Auglaize and Hancock  Counties Friday. The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers. “Based on provisional data, there were 375 OVI-related fatalities last year in Ohio,” Lieutenant Matthew Crow, commander of the Findlay Post, said. “State troopers make an average of 25,000 OVI arrests each year in an attempt to combat these dangerous drivers.
