Ohio Hi-Point Aviation and Drone Tech Students Earn FAA Part 107 Certification

Photo: Ohio Hi-Point Career Center Several Aviation and Drone Tech students at Ohio Hi-Point Career Center earned their FAA Part 107 UAV certification. This rigorous test is a major achievement. Officials congratulated students Will Benton, Collin Cook, James (Liam) Naumann, Adam Powell, Ashton Shoffner, Preston Smith, Kelsey Sturgill, Ashton Tobias, and Javan Turner. These students are licensed and already working. The school's Facilities and Grounds Department requested their assistance Wednesday to pilot a drone for a roof inspection.

Two Injured in Thursday Crash in Findlay

Two people were injured in a crash that occurred at the intersection of South Main Street and lake Cascades Parkway in Findlay Thursday. According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, Esther Gallegos, of Arlington, attempted to turn from Main onto Lake Cascades, and her car was struck by a southbound vehicle being operated by Aliyuddon Mohammad, of Findlay. Cano to Become Next Bath Schools Superintendent

The Bath Local Schools Board of Education announced that Andrew Cano will be appointed as the district’s next superintendent. The hiring is expected to be made official at a special meeting on Monday April 27. The former Hardin Northern superintendent will succeed Mike Estes, who will be retiring on July 31.
