Kenton Top Twenty’s Cabaret Set for Weekend Performances

Kenton Top Twenty's Cabaret will be this weekend at the Kenton Middle High School Performing Arts Center. Show times are 7:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. A pre-show meal by Moore Than Just BBQ will be served at 6:00 Friday and Saturday evening for $15. An Ice Cream Social will also be part of intermission of the matinee performance. Admission to Cabaret is $10 for reserved seats, general admission $8, and $5 for students.

OSHP to Conduct OVI Checkpoints in Marion County Thursday Evening

COLUMBUS – The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced today that statewide OVI checkpoints will be conducted in Lucas, Wood, Marion, Richland, Ashland, Medina, Geauga, Portage, Jefferson, Tuscarawas, Butler, Warren, Jackson and Scioto counties tomorrow evening. Planned Power Outage to Affect Traffic Signals in Kenton Thursday

City of Kenton officials announced that AEP will be shutting off power to a small area in the city from 7:30am to 3:30 pm on Thursday (05/14/26). Traffic signals will be impacted at Espy and Main and Espy and Detroit Streets. Temporary 4‑way stops will be in place at both intersections. Motorists are encouraged to slow down, stay alert, and plan ahead to keep the streets safe during this planned outage.

Four Kenton Seniors Receive John D. Wheeler Memorial Scholarships

Four Kenton High School seniors received scholarships in memory of John D. Wheeler at the Kenton High School Awards ceremony Tuesday. 2026 recipients were Gatlin Davis, Garraden Wirbel, Wyatt Campbell and Kimberly Heberling. They were presented by committee members Linda Eddy Randazzo, Cindee McCune Kratzenberg and Susan Schwartz Harrison. This is the second that the scholarships have been presented in memory of John Wheeler, who passed away at the age of 104 on June 11, 2024.

Hardin County Sports Hall of Fame Announces 2026 Wes Davis Memorial Scholarship Recipients

The Hardin County Sports Hall of Fame announced the 2026 Wes Davis Memorial Scholarship recipients.  Addi Manns of Kenton High School and Mason Howard of Ridgemont High School will each receive a one-time $500 scholarship towards their academic endeavors. Ray Brown Memorial Park Dedication Set for Tomorrow in Alger

Hardin County Historical Museums, Inc. Tomorrow is the day that the village park in Alger will be dedicated and officially renamed the Ray Brown Memorial Park. The Dedication Ceremony is at 2:00 Thursday afternoon, and Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is expected to attend.
