The Hardin County Board of Elections will be transferring election data to a USB memory storage device on Monday, September 28. The process will begin at 9:00 am at their office. The Board of Elections office is located in the lower level of the Hardin County Courthouse in downtown Kenton.
A Bucyrus woman escaped with minor injuries after a crash that occurred in Wyandot County Tuesday evening. According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, 25-year-old Latasha Mass was driving east on State Highway 294 when her vehicle struck a deer. The vehicle then went off the road and struck a utility pole and came to rest in a field. Disabling damage occurred to the car. Mass was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay.
A Bellefontaine woman was transported to the hospital with suspected minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash that occurred on US 33 in Union County late Tuesday afternoon. According to the report from the Marysville Police Department, 71-year-old Melody Born was driving on 33 when another vehicle attempted to exit onto State Route 4 and struck her vehicle. A Lima man was arrested after a search warrant was served in Lima earlier this week. The West Central Ohio Crime Task Force, with assistance from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office and the Allen County Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. team served the warrant at a residence in the 3000 block of Harding Highway. DEFIANCE – The Ohio State Highway Patrol announces the results of an OVI checkpoint that was held in Defiance County on September 18, 2026. There were approximately 439 vehicles checked during the operation, which resulted in 2 vehicles being diverted for further investigation of impaired driving. Van Wert – The Ohio State Highway Patrol conducted an OVI checkpoint Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on W 5th Street in Delphos, Van Wert County. Troopers made contact with 200 drivers during the checkpoint with zero vehicles being diverted. During and following the checkpoint, saturation patrols were conducted to combat impaired driver-related injury and fatal crashes.
