Postponed Girls Basketball Game Scheduled to Resume

A basketball in Kenton that was stopped due to a power outage this past Saturday has been scheduled to resume. According to information from Athletic Director Brett Purcell, the Riverdale at Kenton girls game will resume at 6pm on Thursday December 30 at the Kenton High School. The game was postponed following the first quarter of the Junior Varsity contest on December 11 due to the power outage.

KHS Coed Varsity Wrestling Finishes 7th Place at Bucyrus Invite

The Kenton wrestling team placed 7th out of fourteen teams with just five wrestlers at the 34th Annual Bucyrus Pool Tournament. Elgin High School won the tournament with eighteen wrestlers scoring 210.0 points. Karson Davis, Logan Brown, Anthony Hunt, Gavin Manns and Matthew Handel were the only wrestlers that competed at the tournament. Kenton Beats Benjamin Logan in Boys Basketball Tuesday Night

The Kenton Boys Varsity Basketball team defeated Ben Logan 52-40. The Wildcats got off to a fast start as Tyson Lawrence hit three 3 pointers in the first period. Lawrence and Jarrett Jolliff ended the night with 11 points each. Both Colby Quay and Gavin Payne ended the night in double digits as well with 10 a piece. Public Celebration Held Sunday for Div VI State Football Champion Carey Blue Devils

The 2021 Carey Blue Devils are the Division VI State Football Champions. Carey took down reigning champion Coldwater 26-14 in this past Saturday's Division VI state championship game at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.  It ended a 46-year title drought for the Wyandot County school.  Carey's first title came in 1975 after a 15-7 overtime victory over Newark Catholic in the Class A title. A public celebration ceremony was held for the team Sunday afternoon at the school.

Kenton Bowling Team Comes Up Short Monday Night

The Kenton Wildcat Bowling Team fell to Wynford 2100 to 2266 in the opening game of the season Monday night. Kenton was only down 31 pins after Game 1 but Wynford opened up their lead after Game 2.
