Shawnee Tops Kenton Girls Tennis Match

The Kenton High School Girls Varsity Tennis team fell to Shawnee High School 5-0 on Monday. The one bright spot for the Wildcats was freshman duo Lilly Carmen and Lydia Lambert at second doubles who won four games in the first set. The Wildcats will host River Valley on Wednesday.

The Celina Bulldogs held off the Kenton Wildcats 21-20 in Western Buckeye League football action Friday at Celina Stadium. The Wildcats scored with just over a minute left to draw to within 21-20, but the Bulldogs stopped Kenton on the ensuing two-point try to secure the win. Ridgemont Cancels Home Football Game this Evening Against Crestline

Ridgemont Athletic Director Shawn Smith announced that this evening's football game against Crestline has been cancelled. In a statement, Smith called it a difficult decision to make. He stated that they tried to keep things going, especially for the seniors whose time in football is limited, but he said it just wasn’t going to be possible at this point. Practice will resume on Monday for those not quarantined.

Kenton Shuts Down Bath Thursday in Boys Soccer Game

The Kenton Boys Soccer team defeated Bath 6-0 in Western Buckeye League play Thursday evening. The Wildcats move to 4-0-2 (1-0-1 WBL) on the season. Kenton started the scoring 90 seconds into the contest when Colby Quay found Connor Defibaugh on a cross and header. Less than 7 minutes later the duo repeated the feat for a 2-0 lead. Celina Beats Kenton in Volleyball Action Thursday

The Kenton High School Girls Varsity Volleyball team fell to Celina 3-0 on Thursday. The Wildcats fought hard against the seasoned Bulldogs in 3 sets: 9-25, 10-25 and 7-25 were the finals. Mya Good led hitting with 3 kills while Sadie Larrabee, Macee Heckathorn and Lasha Wells added 2 kills each. Brynn Butler led the defense with 13 digs and 12 receptions.

Upper Sandusky High School Announces Senior Citzen’s Night for Upcoming Sporting Event

Bath Uses Strong Second Half to Defeat Kenton in Friday Night Football

Bath pulled away in the second half to defeat Kenton 43-13 in Western Buckeye League football play Friday at Robinson Field. Bath improves to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the league while Kenton is now 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the WBL. The game was knotted at 13 at the half but Bath outscored Kenton 30-0 in the second half to post the victory.
