Celina Beats Kenton in Volleyball Action Thursday

The Kenton High School Girls Varsity Volleyball team fell to Celina 3-0 on Thursday. The Wildcats fought hard against the seasoned Bulldogs in 3 sets: 9-25, 10-25 and 7-25 were the finals. Mya Good led hitting with 3 kills while Sadie Larrabee, Macee Heckathorn and Lasha Wells added 2 kills each. Brynn Butler led the defense with 13 digs and 12 receptions.

Upper Sandusky High School Announces Senior Citzen’s Night for Upcoming Sporting Event

Bath Uses Strong Second Half to Defeat Kenton in Friday Night Football

Bath pulled away in the second half to defeat Kenton 43-13 in Western Buckeye League football play Friday at Robinson Field. Bath improves to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the league while Kenton is now 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the WBL. The game was knotted at 13 at the half but Bath outscored Kenton 30-0 in the second half to post the victory. Kenton Girls 8th Grade Volleyball Falls to Lima Central Catholic 2-0

The Wildcats came up against a very talented Lima Central Catholic team last night. After losing set 1 5-25 due to 2 long serving stretches by LCC, the Lady Cats bounced back in the 2nd set to tie the score at 18-18 before losing 18-25. Scoring for the Wildcats were Brayla Butler (2 pts), Kylie Searson (1 pt), Kylyne Anspach (1 pt), Presley Wilson (6 pts), and CJ Newberry (1 pt). Ben Logan Edges Kenton in Girls Soccer Game

The Kenton Girls Soccer team fell in another tight contest Thursday night at Ben Logan 2-1. Kenton lead at halftime 1-0 after a goal by Ali Harpel on an assist from Abi Temple. The Raiders tied it up in the second half before taking the lead with 10 minutes on the clock to win the game. Kenton returns to action Saturday night at Riverdale.

Kenton High School Girls Varsity Tennis falls to St. Marys Memorial High School 5-0 on Thursday. Katie Sturgeon battled at second singles, but lost the first set tiebreak 6-8 and lost the second set 4-6. After a week off for the fair, Kenton will travel to Shawnee on September 13th.
