Polar Bear Golf Outing Scheduled for July 10

The Hardin Northern Polar Bear Legacy Golf Outing has been scheduled. The 4 person scramble will take place on Saturday, July 10 at the Memorial Park Golf Course in Kenton.  Registration begins at 7:30 am and Tee-Off is at 8:30 that morning. Proceeds from the outing will benefit the Hardin Northern Scholarship Foundation. You may pre-register at hardinnorthern.org Contact Andy Wilson at  419-759-2331 ext. 1202 if you have any questions.

Kenton Baseball Team Cruises by USV

The Kenton High School Varsity Baseball team beat Upper Scioto Valley High School 14-0. Ace Baum needed 69 pitches to top USV 14-0 on Wednesday. The Wildcat senior struck out 12 Rams and walked 1 in his no hit effort. Offensively the Wildcats pounded out 15 hits. Kyle Thrush had 4, with Brent Rader, Jarron Willoby, Trevor Robinson, Tyson Hopkins, and Zac Swaney adding 2 safeties each. Seth Creamer was also 1-2 for the Cats.

The Kenton High School Varsity Softball team was defeated by Upper Scioto Valley High School 15-9 on Wddnesday. Kenton Wildcats and Upper Scioto Valley passed the lead back-and-forth on Wednesday, but eventually Upper Scioto Valley prevailed 15-9. Head Football Coach Brent Fackler Stepping-down After 36 Seasons at Kenton

According to a press release from Kenton High School Athletic Director Brett Purcell, Coach Brent Fackler has announced that he is stepping down as Head Football Coach at Kenton High School. Coach Fackler has been a staple on the Kenton Football sideline for the past 36 seasons. He came to Kenton in 1985 to serve as the Defensive Coordinator under then Head Coach Mike Mauk.
