Kenton Falls to Celina in Girls Tennis Match Thursday
Celina defeated the Kenton High School Girls Varsity Tennis team 5-0 Thursday. The tough loss to the Bulldogs ended the week for the Wildcats. Kenton will host Wapakoneta on Monday August 30.

Kenton High School Girls Varsity Volleyball team fell to Elida High School 3-0 Thursday evening. The scores were 16-25, 13-25 and 15-25. Sadie Larrabee had 6 kills and Mya Good and Macee Heckathorn had 5 kills each. Brynn Butler had 3 aces.
The Bulldogs improve to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the WBL. The Wildcats are now 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the league.Colby Howard was named the Ace Hardware Player of the Game.The Wildcats are back in action Friday when they host Bath. The Coldwater Cavaliers defeated the Kenton Wildcats 44-14 Friday at Cavalier Stadium.Korbin Johnston threw 2 touchdown passes for the Wildcats, connecting for scores with Jarrett Jolliff and Tim Wilkinson. Zach Heintz was named the Ace Hardware Player of the Game. The Wildcats are back in action Friday when they visit Elida in their Western Buckeye League opener. The High School football season kicks off tonight. WKTN will bring you the Kenton Wildcats when they travel to Coldwater tonight to face the Cavaliers. Tonight will be the first game for new Kenton head coach Zach Turner, who takes over a team that finished 5 and 4 last season. The Kenton Girls Golf Team got a victory against North Baltimore 267-276. The Wildcats played North Baltimore at Memorial Park golf course Wednesday after getting rained out the day prior. The team was led by sophomore, Claire Ketcham who shot a 60. The Wildcats are looking forward to getting back on the course Monday at home against Wapak.
The Kenton Boys Golf Team defeated Ridgemont 199-249 on Wednesday. Kenton's Noah Ketcham was the medalist in Tuesdays match against Ridgemont as he lead the team with a score off 44. Max Haushalter followed up with a (50). Stone Suber finished with a (52) and Grady Baum (53). Ridgemont was lead by Hayden Oates with a (51). Hayden Shoffner (56), Dylan Penhorwood (66) and Will Browning following right behind Kenton's next match is Thursday at Lakeland Golf Course against Carey.
Kenton High School Girls Varsity Golf falls to Defiance High School 231-262 on Thursday. The team had their season opener yesterday and shot a 262 against Defiance who shot 231. The wildcats were led by Lily James (60) and Claire Ketcham (60). Abi Mustain (61) was following right behind with Kyra Fleming rounding out the lineup. The team is looking forward to competing on Monday August 9 at Green Acres Golf Course against Elgin.
