The Lady Cats dropped a tough match to Bellefontaine 3 sets to 1 18-25, 25-17, 18-25, and 23-25. Leading the fight for the Lady Cats was Lacie Nichols with 9 digs and 4 kills and Jenna Manns with 7 digs, 9 assists, and she accounted for 21 points while serving including 3 aces. Also chipping in were Erin Lyons and Lascha Wells with 5 kills each. The JV won their match in 3 sets 26-24, 16-25, and 25-17.

Kenton improved to 8--3-2 on the season with a 7-0 victory Saturday in Sandusky. Reed Cook started the scoring for the Cats when he drilled a free kick from 23 yards 15 minutes into the game. The Kenton girls tennis team travelled to the University of Northwestern Ohio on Thursday for their annual Western Buckeye League Tournament. Having a big win Thursday was senior and first singles player who was seeded number four Mykaela Schriber in her first round match.
