The Kenton Lady Wildcats defeated Riverdale 53-32 over the weekend. The Cats used a strong 3rd quarter to top the Falcons. Lindsey Smith was the leading scorer for the Cats with 16 points. Kenzie Bays had 14 and Sid Plott added 10. Riverdale was led by Reagan Mckinnis and Lanie Howell with 8 points each. The 2 quarter JV game was won by Kenton 33-13.
The injury plagued Wildcat Grapplers pull out a 10th place finish after losing Ethan Manns and Jayson Dyer do to injuries at the tournament. The Kenton Middle School Wrestling team finished strong with 167 team points in the Allen East Tournament on Saturday placing 7th out of nineteen teams. Six wildcats placed in their weight classes. Anthony Hunt (110 lbs), Landon Dillard (128 lbs) and Tim Wilkinson were all runner-ups for the tournament just coming short in their finals match-up.
