The Kenton Wildcats defeated the Van Wert Cougars 48-25 Friday night in Western Buckeye League football action at Eggerss Stadium. Kenton (5-2 overall, 5-1 WBL) built a 34-7 halftime lead but the Cougars (3-4, 2-4) clawed to within 34-19 before the Cats iced the game in the fourth quarter.
