Hardin County Ag Society to Address Fair Contracts and More at May 7 Meeting

The Hardin County Ag Society will meet this Wednesday, May 7. Approving the restroom contract, radio contract and gate worker contracts for the fair are among the items under new business on the agenda. Obituary for Sue E. Pollacek

Sue E. Pollacek, 79, of Findlay passed away at the Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, on Monday, December 30, 2024. She was born on August 16, 1945 in Kenton, OH to the late Robert and Virginia (Dodds) McAdow. On June 21, 1975 she married W. John Pollacek who survives in Findlay.Survivors include daughter Alison (Sean) Matson of Bowling Green. Kenton Wrestling Places 30th at Marion Harding Classic

The Kenton wrestling team travelled to Marion, Ohio to compete in the Marion Harding Classic tournament. Over thirty teams from all over Ohio participate in the long standing tough tournament. Kenton only brought six wrestlers and scored 25 team points to place thirtieth. Wrestling powerhouse, St. Edward, dominated the field and won the team race with a final score of 212.5 points. Kenton Boys Varsity Bowling finishes 1st at Kenton Holiday Baker Tournament

The Kenton Wildcats hosted the Kenton Holiday Baker Tournament Monday. Each team bowled 10 baker games with the top 8 pin totals advancing to the championship bracket.The Wildcats rolled a 1904 for their 10 bakers (199-127-200-186-171-198-203-207-213-200) to take the top seed in the championship bracket.
