Autism Life Center to Open ‘Fill the Classroom’ Applications August 1

The Autism Life Center's Fill the Classroom applications will be opening soon. The program is open to all special education classrooms in and around Allen County. Applications will be shared August 1, and all applications must be received by August 31, and they must be filled out and turned in by the teacher or intervention specialist. Revitalize Kenton Family Fun Day Set for June 6

Revitalize Kenton: a community partnership Revitalize Kenton's Family Fun Day is a little over a week away. It will take place Saturday, June 6 from 11am until 3pm at the Kenton Shopping Plaza, located at 981 East Columbus Street. The event will feature some old-fashioned fun, including games, sweet treats, power wheels derby, pet parade, chalk art, coloring and more. Five Wildcats Competed in Autism Awareness Wrestling Tournament

H/T Kenton Girls Wrestling The Kenton Wildcats were well represented at the Wrestle for Autism wrestling tournament in Urbana, Ohio. Coach Kriss Brein dominated the senior women’s 130-145 class, taking first place. Coach Katelyn Gregg also claimed the top spot in the college-level women’s D7A 130lb division. Kenton freshman Miriam Penry competed in the high school women’s D6A 120lb class and finished sixth. Rounding out the Wildcat lineup were junior Sierra Vanskey and Harrison Brien.

Hardin County Ag Society to Address Fair Contracts and More at May 7 Meeting

The Hardin County Ag Society will meet this Wednesday, May 7. Approving the restroom contract, radio contract and gate worker contracts for the fair are among the items under new business on the agenda. Members will also hear that a pastor for the fair opening ceremony has been secured, and contracts for nightly grounds sweeping, Fire coverage, Mounted Posse, Portable toilets, and trash removal contracts have been sent with many already returned. Obituary for Sue E. Pollacek

Sue E. Pollacek, 79, of Findlay passed away at the Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, on Monday, December 30, 2024. She was born on August 16, 1945 in Kenton, OH to the late Robert and Virginia (Dodds) McAdow. On June 21, 1975 she married W. John Pollacek who survives in Findlay.Survivors include daughter Alison (Sean) Matson of Bowling Green. Kenton Wrestling Places 30th at Marion Harding Classic

The Kenton wrestling team travelled to Marion, Ohio to compete in the Marion Harding Classic tournament. Over thirty teams from all over Ohio participate in the long standing tough tournament. Kenton only brought six wrestlers and scored 25 team points to place thirtieth. Wrestling powerhouse, St. Edward, dominated the field and won the team race with a final score of 212.5 points.
