Marion Police continue to investigate an incident which occurred at Dino’s Drive Thru last week. Mitch Hooper at the Marion Star reports potential charges against the suspect include breaking and entering, criminal damaging, and endangering. $417 in cash was reported stolen from the location, and damages to a security-system hard drive totaled two-thousand dollars.

With inclement weather affecting Kenton’s roads, city management advises residents of certain information which should improve area traffic safety: At this time, the City of Kenton’s capabilities extend only as far as applying salt to the roads. Salt is first applied to Main, Detroit, Franklin, and Columbus Streets, followed by the side streets around the schools, then side-street intersections and hills. Coronavirus vaccines for Kenton residents aged 80 and over will be available beginning tomorrow. Doses will be administered at OhioHealth’s Primary Care location at 75 Washington Boulevard, Suite 103. Recipients must schedule an appointment through MyChart or by calling the vaccine hotline at (614) 533-6999. Walk-ins will not be vaccinated. Carey House Receives Ohio SPCA Complaints

Investigation by the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office followed a complaint lodged by the Ohio SPCA Wednesday afternoon. Concern from the Ohio SPCA agent regarding cats with worms and malnourishment of dogs, rabbits, ferrets, poisonous frogs, and a snake led to a welfare check at the Carey residence. At the welfare check, the officer noted the animals appeared well-fed and clean, with the largest issue seeming to be a dog receiving veterinary treatment for a minor skin rash.

Upper Sandusky Residents Caught Driving Recklessly

Two Upper Sandusky residents have been advised not to return to the dead end of Township Highway 102 after being caught doing donuts there. Fender-Bender Causes Power Outage

A minor crash on Wyandot County Highway Nine caused a power outage in Sycamore early Sunday morning. Accounts from a witness to the crash state a pickup truck skidded off the road and struck a utility pole, which then caught fire as the driver left the scene and drove to his nearby residence. The driver, identified as Michael Danner of Sycamore, was cited for failure to control.

Man Injured In One-Car Crash

Deputies from the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-car crash in Crane Township Thursday night. Billy J. Harris of Nevada was LifeFlighted to St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo after his 2011 Dodge exited the right side of Township Highway 60 onto an embankment, went left-of-center into a ditch, struck a cable pole, and rolled at least twice. Alcohol is suspected as a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Allen County Crash Kills Driver, Injures Passenger

Investigation continues into a fatal one-car crash which occured in Allen County Saturday afternoon. Troopers from the Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the scene on Fort Amanda Road around 4:15 p.m. A 2010 Pontiac G6 driven by Wapakonetan Layla Yoakam, 17, had gone off the right side of the roadway, struck a fence, pole, and tree, and overturned.
