Stewart Named NWCC Coach of the Year as Hardin Northern Dominates Softball Honors

It’s no shock that the NWCC champion Hardin Northern Polar Bears made a strong showing on this year’s All-Conference teams. Nine players earned recognition for their on-field performance, and Boyd Stewart took home Coach of the Year honors.. Five Polar Bears, Baylie and Addy Bacon, Kaitlyn Whitaker, Morgan Stewart, and Lyla Holtzberger, earned First Team All-NWCC honors. They were joined by Milee Seabrook and Ava Delaney on the Second Team, while Karli Fath and Vivian Overs received honorable mentions.

Ridgemont Baseball Earns Four All-NWCC Selections

Four Ridgemont Golden Gophers earned prestigious All-Northwest Central Conference honors this baseball season. Kody Kiser was named to the 1st team, Ethan Moore secured a 2nd team spot, and both Jayden Sifrit and Maverick Dawson received honorable mentions. The Gophers finished 7-2 in the NWCC and will look to continue their season in tournament play Friday, May 22nd, when they take on Mohawk.

Five Upper Scioto Valley Rams earned All-Northwest Central Conference honors for the 2026 baseball season. Jesse Prater secured a first-team spot, while Andrue Kindle and Caiden Lowery made the second team. Beau Sanders and Macoy Underwood received honorable mentions. The Rams take on LCC in tournament play on Thursday, May 21st, at 5 PM.

Manns Cruises to 3200m WBL Championship

Kenton hosted the 2026 WBL Track & Field Championships at Robinson Field on Wednesday, May 13, and Friday, May 15. The girls’ team placed 5th overall, while the boys’ team came in 6th. The Kenton Boys Tennis team traveled to UNOH in Lima on Thursday to compete in the NW District Division 2 Sectional Tournament.
