Kenton 8th grade boys fall to Shawnee

Kenton 8th grade boys ran into a buzz saw Thursday night when they met Lima Shawnee. Their coach mentioned prior to the game they were 0-9 from the 3 point line in their first game but they torched our nets making 6. Kenton girls basketball win their WBL opener tonight by a score of 65-47. The Lady Cats were led by Sid Payne with 18 points. Macee Heckathorn scored 15 points while Brylee Bostelman had 11 and Sadie Larabee finished with 10 points. Betty Esther Sprang, age 88 of Kenton, went to heaven December 3, 2024. She was a resident of Vancrest Ada where she leaves behind many friends. Kenton Girls Varsity Bowling beats Riverside 1995 – 1914

The Kenton Wildcats rolled a school record 1995 en route to their victory over Indian Lake. Kenton fell behind by 44 pins after the 1st individual games, 696 - 740. The Wildcats turned things around in the 2nd individual games, 736 - 614, to take a 78 pin lead. Kenton then kept pace with the Lakes through the 4 baker games and won 1995 - 1914. The Kenton Wildcats rolled individual games of 863 and 832 but ended up 55 pins behind Riverside 1695 - 1750. The Wildcats rolled 4 strong bakers, including a 223 to overtake the Pirates and win the match by 87 pins, 2471 - 2384. The Kenton 8th grade boys basketball team fell to Wapak to open the season 35-30. It was not due to lack of effort.
