Soroptimist Planning June Fundraising Event

Kenton/Hardin County Soroptimist is planning a Nothing But Country Dinner and Dance Fundraiser next month.   The event is planned for Saturday June 22 at the Kenton Moose Lodge.   A bbq dinner will be catered by the Plaza Inn.   Country music, a quilt raffle and silent auction will also be featured.   For tickets, email sikenton@soroptimist.net.

Two Summons Issued Following Undercover Liquor Sales Operation

Deputies from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office conducted an undercover operation to monitor compliance with liquor sales laws among area businesses on Friday May 10.     According to a release, a total of 12 businesses throughout the county were monitored; they were located in Dunkirk, Forest, Ridgeway, Mt. Parole Officer Issues Pickup Order of Kenton Man

A Kenton man was taken into custody Wednesday on a pickup order by his parole officer.   According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, 46 year old Steven L. Treen was arrested at his residence Wednesday evening in the 300 block of Carrol Street.   He was later transported to the Multi County Jail in Marion.

Kenton Man Arrested on Warrant

A Kenton man wanted on a warrant was arrested at a residence on Espy Street Wednesday evening.   According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, officers located 32 year old Cody Richardson in the 100 block of West Espy Street and took him into custody.   The warrant was through the police department.

Theft of Arrowheads Reported to Police

A theft was reported to Kenton police on Wednesday.   According to the report, officers met the victim at a business on Columbus Street and were informed that someone stole his collection of arrowheads.   The 30-40 pieces stolen were valued at $3500.   The incident is under investigation.

Union County Law Enforcement Ceremony Being Held this Evening

The Annual Union County Law Enforcement Memorial is being conducted this evening at 7:00.   A ceremony will be held on the north lawn of the Union County Courthouse and Justice Center in Marysville.   The Memorial Service is a tribute to peace officers who have given their lives in the line of duty.

Two Injured in Union County Crash

A crash in Union County Wednesday night injured two people.   According to the Daily Media Release from the Union County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched to the 13,000 block of Fladt Road where a vehicle traveled off the roadway and ended up in a ditch where it then caught fire.   One person was transported to Riverside Hospital in Columbus and another was taken to Memorial Hospital in Marysville.   No other information is available at this time.   […]

Two scholarship winners were announced by the Tree Town Festival committee.   Recipients of the 2019 scholarships are Avery Melroy and Abbey Knedler.   The 2019 Tree Town Festival is set to take place July 12, 13 and 14 at Gormley Park in Forest.

Grant Received to Landscape Pioneer Park
