Bicycle Rodeo Set for Saturday in Findlay

The Findlay Police Department will host a Bicycle Rodeo this Saturday May 18 from 10am to 1pm.   The event is held to teach area youth the benefits of safe cycling and hopefully instill in them a lifelong love for the sport. Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) will host a “Stopping Senior Scams Workshop” on Thursday, May 30 at 10:00 AM in the Penta Career Center in Perrysburg, Ohio. Hardin Community School Graduation Set for Thursday

The Hardin Community School will be holding its Graduation Ceremony this Thursday May 16, 2019 at the Moose Club.   The ceremony will start at 11:30 am, and State Representative Jon Cross will be the keynote speaker.   John Folk, Director of Job and Family Services will also be in attendance.   Juvenile Court Judge Steve Christopher along with Hardin Community School Director, Wade Melton will be announcing the Graduates and handing out the diplomas.

Hancock County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team Conducting Training Exercise

The Hancock County Sheriff's Office will be using University of Findlay houses at 337, 341 and 403 Howard Street Wednesday and Thursday, May 15 and 16.   Special Response Team "SWAT" training will be conducted from 6-11 p.m. each evening.   There will be a large police presence in that area during those times.   Residents are being advised that it will only be a training exercise and not an actual emergency situation.

Rhodes State College Foundation Awards Student Scholarships

LIMA, Ohio – The 22nd Annual Rhodes State College Scholarship Awards reception was held in Keese Hall on the College’s campus with a record crowd of over 350 recipients, donors and guests. For the 2019 – 2020 academic year, the Rhodes State College Foundation has 154 scholarship awards totaling $158,268 to award to students. Rural Forest Man Charged Following Stabbing in Wyandot County

A rural Forest man was arrested Monday following a stabbing incident last week.   According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, the investigation was initiated by Hancock County authorities who originally believed the stabbing occurred in their jurisdiction.   As it turns out, a man was stabbed back on Saturday in a vehicle parked at the residence of Mark E. KFD Hopes to Finish Flowing Hydrants in NW Section on Wednesday

The Kenton Fire Department will continue to flow hydrants in the northwest section of Kenton today.   The goal is to have them finished by Wednesday.   Water in that section could by discolored, which is normal during the process.   Residents are advised to run a empty cycle in washing machines to help clear the water before doing laundry.

Riding Lawn Mower Stolen at Address in Kenton

The theft of a riding lawn mower was reported to Kenton police on Monday.   According to the report, the victim believes it was stolen sometime Sunday night to Monday morning at an address in the 1000 block of South Main Street.   The value of the lawn mower was listed at $1100.   The theft remains under investigation.
