HN Students Performing “Odd Couple-the Female Version”

Hardin Northern students will give a new twist to a classic Neil Simon comedy.   The Odd Couple-the Female Version will be presented March 28-30 at the school. All shows start at 7:00pm.   Unger and Madison are at it again, only this time it's Florence Unger and Olive Madison in this gender swapped version where the girls get to have all the fun.   Tickets are $7 adults and $5 students.

Annual Hardin County Beef Banquet Set for March 23

Hardin County - The Hardin County Cattle Producers will hold their annual Beef Banquet on Saturday, March 23 in the Community Building at the fairgrounds, starting at 6:00 pm. Treasurer Gives Monthly Investment Report to Commissioners

  Hardin County Treasurer Denise Althauser gave the February Monthly Investment Report to the Hardin County Commissioners at a recent meeting.   She said interest has increased 73% over last year at this time.     Total interest to date in 2018 was $61,670.24, and total interest for February 2019 is $69,833.95.   Althauser is hosting the Treasurers Association in Hardin County next week, and the State Treasurer's Office will be the Speaker.

Crash Damages Vehicles in Bellefontaine Wednesday

Two vehicles were damaged in a crash that occurred in Bellefontaine around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon.   According to the Bellefontaine Police Department report, 16 year old Destiny Close attempted to turn left from East Sandusky onto North Hayes Street, when her car struck an eastbound car being operated by 59 year old Rebecca Rutherford, of Bellefontaine.   Moderate damage occurred to both vehicles.   There were no injuries, and Close was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

Driver Cited Following Downtown Kenton Crash

A crash occurred in downtown Kenton Wednesday afternoon.   According to information on the Kenton Police Department Daily Log Sheet, the crash occurred on Detroit near Columbus Street at just before 2:30pm.   Rachael Bethel, of Kenton, was cited for an assured clear distance ahead violation.   No other information is available on the crash at this time.

Former Marion Band Color Guard Instructor Arrested

A former Marion school color guard instructor was arrested Wednesday for allegedly sending nude photos to a minor.   According to a release from the Marion Police Department, officers arrested 27 year old Alexander Freeman on Wednesday after a search warrant was executed at his house.   He has been charged with disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.   The incident has been under investigation since late February after a complaint was received by the Marion Harding School Resource Officer concerning […]

PUCO Accepts Results of AEP Ohio Auction

COLUMBUS, OHIO (March 6, 2019) – The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) today accepted the results of AEP Ohio’s wholesale auction that will determine its default generation rates through May 2020. The auction, held on March 5, 2019, secured a one-year product to supply electricity to AEP Ohio’s utility customers.
