Tragic Accident Claims Life of Logan County Teen in Champaign County; Passenger Airlifted to Hospital

A Logan County teenager died in a crash that occurred at around 11:35 Sunday night in Champaign County. According to a release from the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Patrol. 18-year-old Jackson Scott, of Quincy, lost control of his vehicle after he swerved to avoid hitting an animal while traveling north on State Route 235. A rural Roundhead man, who was arrested Monday evening May 26 on child pornography charges, will remain behind bars while legal proceedings against him continue. Attorneys for 59-year Mark Butterman had requested that he be released during the proceedings, but Magistrate Judge Darrell A. Several BKP Ambulance District crew members were presented with awards last week during EMS week. Paige Hartman and Kyle Richards were awarded St. Rita’s Medical Center Stroke Run of the Year.
