Two homes were damaged by fire over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Deadly House Fire in Lima Under Investigation

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for our area, including Union, Hardin, Auglaize, Shelby, and Logan counties. According to the National Weather Service, snow is expected to move in tonight, and 3 to 5 inches of accumulation is possible overnight. The advisory runs from 7:00 this evening until 10:00am Tuesday. Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions, and the hazardous conditions will likely impact the Tuesday morning commute.

Hardin County Agriculture Hall of Fame The 2025 Hardin County Agriculture Hall of Fame inductees will be honored next week. They are Bert C. Dismissal of Charges Reported in Case of Former Logan County Deputy

Bellefontaine media sources are reporting that all criminal charges against a former Logan County Sheriff's deputy were dismissed with prejudice this week. John Puckett, of Kenton, was arrested in July of this year after an investigation by the Kenton Police Department concerning a domestic incident. Logan County Sheriff Randy Dodds placed Puckett on paid administrative leave while the case was investigated, and WPKO Radio reported that Puckett was terminated from the Sheriff's Office on August 1 of this year.
