Hardin Northern Students Go the Distance in Walking Club

Photo: Hardin Northern Local School District Some Hardin Northern students surprised their teacher when she challenged them to walk. The students in teacher Jessica Cano's Walking Club stepped it up and challenged their teacher on who could speed walk the most laps on the track. It seems the students took the challenge to heart. Some of them managed over 1.5 miles in under 25 minutes. Officials congratulated students on supporting each other and beating Mrs. Cano.

Enterprise Zone Agreement Signed for New Vancrest Health Care Facility in Kenton

An Enterprise Zone agreement was signed by the Hardin County Commissioners Thursday that offers an incentive for Vancrest to build a new health care/assisted living facility in Kenton. The agreement provides Vancrest with a 75% exemption on all new real property as part of the project for a period of 15 years. Groundbreaking is scheduled to take place on September 15.
