Kenton Man Arrested on Warrant and Issued Summons for Other Offenses

A Kenton man was arrested on a warrant and was charged with several offenses Sunday evening.   According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, officers were dispatched to Marathon at 303 North Detroit Street to investigate a report of a male allegedly seen providing cigarettes to a minor.   The suspect, identified as 58 year old John J. Car Vandalism Report to KPD Sunday

A criminal damaging incident was reported to Kenton police Sunday afternoon.   According to the report, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West Columbus Street in reference to vandalism to a motor vehicle.   Unspecified damage occurred to a 2014 Buick at the residence.   The incident is under investigation.

KFD Holding Benefit Pancake Breakfast

The Kenton Fire Department will be hosting a benefit pancake breakfast on Sunday August 4.   It will be served from 7-11am that morning at the fire department in Kenton.   The cost is $8.00 and is all you can eat.   The proceeds go to Mark Butterman, a firefighter and Coast Guard veteran who suffered a back and spine injury.

Dunkirk-Dola VBS Raised Money to Purchase Vest for HCSO K-9

The Dunkirk-Dola Vacation Bible School was held last week at Camp Common Ground in Dunkirk.     An average of 54 kids, 20 teens and 25 adults attended.     For this year's mission, the kids collected funds to purchase a bulletproof vest for the incoming K-9.     They exceeded their goal of $1,000 and raised $1,116.

KENTON-Hardin Co. Soroptimist International congratulates Club 250 winner Barb Manns for week 34. She will receive $100. Club 250 is a fundraiser that helps to award scholarships to local women and girls. Week 1-48 win $100. Week 49-50 win $125,week 51 wins $250, and Week 52 wins $500. Average Gas Prices Down Across the Region

The average price for a gallon of gas in Hardin County today dropped a nickel compared to last week.   AAA reported that the average price for a gallon of regular grade gas is $2.69, compared to $2.74 last Monday.   For the first time in several weeks though that is not the cheapest price in the region. New Entity Filings Continue to Increase in Ohio

COLUMBUS – Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose today announced 9,935 new entities filed to do business in Ohio in June.
