Poetry Out Loud Regional Semifinal Set for this Evening at Marathon Center

Findlay–Marathon Center for the Performing Arts will host the Northwest Ohio Poetry Out Loud Regional Semifinal, beginning at 6:00 p.m. this evening, February 3.  Students from the following schools will be participating- Cory Rawson High School and St. John’s Jesuit High School. The Hardin County Board of Elections will meet this Friday, February 6th,  2026, at 8:30 a.m. in their office in the courthouse for their monthly Board Meeting.  This is a change of the original Board Meeting date of February 12, 2026.  The meeting date has been changed to meet the Ohio Secretary of State’s deadline for certification of petitions.

After seating a jury and presenting opening statements, the State began laying out its case against Andrew McCafferty yesterday in Hardin County. Prosecutor Brad Bailey called three witnesses to the stand Monday afternoon. A celebration of life service for Dale Osborn will be held at 1:00 on Sunday, February 15th at the Mount Victory Community Center with pastor J. Mac Geissinger officiating. Dale chose to donate his body to Wright State University and a private burial will take place at a later date at Grove Cemetery in Kenton Ohio. Marion Police Seek Public’s Help Locating Missing 17-Year-Old

Marion, Ohio Police Department The Marion Police Department is asking for assistance in locating 17 year old Preston Jolley, who was reported to MPD as a runaway on 1/16/26. Preston is 6'9" tall, 238 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. It is believed that he is in the Marion area or possibly Delaware, Ohio.
