Pat Johnson, 66, of Dunkirk, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton following a brief battle with heart disease. He was born on November 7, 1959, in Kenton to the late David N. and Claudette (Lockhart) Johnson. In April 1980, he met Florence "Peanut" Walker, and they were married in July 1982. Hardin County Murder Trial Underway Following Jury Selection

A jury was seated today, Monday, February 2, in the Hardin County murder case against Andrew McCafferty. The twelve-member jury includes seven women and five men. The trial is scheduled to begin following jury selection and is expected to last five days. Dennis Mitchell Rudasill of Ada, lovingly known as "Poppy," passed away on January 31, 2026, at Kenton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at the age of 75. Dennis was born on May 27, 1950, in Kenton, Ohio, to Earl and Dorothy Rudasill. He graduated from Kenton High School in 1969 and went on to dedicate 30 years of hard work to Rockwell. Superior Foundation Announces Eighth Year of Scholarship Program

LIMA, OH—The Superior Foundation is pleased to announce that it has approved $30,000 in funding to award up to thirty $1,000 scholarships this spring. Victims Identified in Fatal Marion Residential Fire

The Pleasant Township Fire Department, in coordination with the Ohio Division of State Fire Marshal, is continuing its investigation into a residential structure fire that claimed two lives early Friday morning. The victims have been identified as 72-year-old Joyce Eblin and 4-year-old Evelyn Harter. The family has requested privacy at this time, as they grieve this immense loss.
