AAA: It’s Time to Bring U.S. Headlight Standards Out of the Dark Ages

(Apr. 16, 2019) – Driving at night carries the highest fatality rate for both drivers and pedestrians but could be made safer by headlight technology already on the roads in Europe and Canada. Fire Destroys House on CR 84 North of Kenton Friday

A house in the 16,000 block of County Road 84 west of Grant was destroyed by fire the past Friday.   According to information from the Kenton Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched around 1:30pm, and upon arrival heavy smoke and fire was visible from the residence. Weekend Roll Over Crash Reported in Wyandot County

An Upper Sandusky man escaped injury in a roll over crash that occurred over the weekend in Wyandot County.   According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, 55 year old Gary Higgins lost control of his vehicle while travelling east on State Highway 103.   The pickup truck ended up off the right side of the road where it overturned and came to rest on its side.   Higgins was cited for failure to control.

Kenton Top Twenty Attends ONU Young Frankenstein Performance

Members of the Kenton Top Twenty were invited to attend the ONU performance of Young Frankenstein back on Saturday.     The performance was directed and choreographed by James Gray who worked on the original Broadway performance.   The students experienced a stellar performance by the ONU theater department while obtaining information and ideas they can use during their own performances.     Kenton Top Twenty’s next major performance will be Cabaret at the Kenton High School from May 17-19. Theft from Vehicle Reported to KPD Sunday

A theft from a vehicle was reported to Kenton Police on Sunday.   According to the report, the incident occurred in the 200 block of North Detroit Street.   Several miscellaneous items were stolen from the car.   The incident is under investigation.
