High Wind Gust Flips Plane Landing at Union County Airport

A pilot escaped injury in a crash at the Union County Airport Thursday afternoon.   According to a release from the Union County Sheriff's Office, a 9-1-1 call reported the crash near the runway at the airport.   As the Cessna single engine plane was landing, it was forced off the runway by a strong wind gust and flipped upside down. Bellefontaine Man Dies After Jumping From Vehicle

A Bellefontaine man died after jumping out of moving vehicle in Logan County Thursday morning.   WPKO Radio reported that 26 year old Cory Stewart was a passenger in the car being driven by 26 year old Heather Waskom.   As the car was travelling west on Township Road 190, Stewart stated that he was done with life and opened the door and jumped.   Waskom told Logan County Sheriff's deputies that Stewart, who was pronounced dead at the scene, […]

Man Indicted on Drug Charges Arrested Thursday

A Dunkirk man who was indicted on several drug charges has been arrested.   The Hardin County Sheriff's Office announced in late March they were looking for 23 year Charles Paul Crowe, who was indicted in January on 2 counts of possession of heroin and one count each of trafficking in heroin and possession of drugs.   Crowe was taken into custody Thursday evening.   The Sheriff's Office thanked those who provided information that led to his arrest.

Upper Sandusky Man Injured in Motorcycle Accident

An Upper Sandusky man was injured in a motorcycle crash Thursday evening in Wyandot County.   According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, 73 year old Robert Hollanshead lost control of the motorcycle while travelling north on State Highway 67. The motorcycle ended up off the right side of the road and crashed.   Hollanshead was taken by helicopter to St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.   The crash remains under investigation.

Minor Injuries Reported Following 2 Car Crash in Kenton

A crash occurred on Columbus Street at Memorial Avenue Thursday afternoon.   According to information from the Kenton Police Department, a car driven by an 84 year old Kenton woman pulled from a stop sign on Memorial onto Columbus and was struck by a vehicle causing disabling damage to both.   The drivers were transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.   The driver who drove onto Columbus Street was cited for failure to yield from a […]
