Boil Water Advisory Lifted in Kenton

The Boil Water Advisory for the City of Kenton has been lifted. The advisory was issued early Tuesday morning after the city's water was shut down so crews could replace a faulty valve in the area of Marie and High Streets in Kenton. Once the water was turned back on, the advisory was issued. It was lifted as of around 12:45 Wednesday afternoon.

Woman Suffers Significant Injuries in Union County Domestic Argument

Police Looking for Couple Involved in Shoplifting at Walmart

A shoplifting incident was reported to Kenton police Tuesday night.   According to the report, a customer at Walmart observed a man and woman push a cart full of merchandise out of the store.   The couple is then said to have tossed the items in the back of a gold colored Dodge Caliber and quickly drove out of the lot.   The customer then reported the incident to Walmart employees.   Video footage from the store surveillance camera was […]

Safe Haven Holding Bowling Fundraiser

Safe Haven of Hardin County is holding a bowling fundraiser on Sunday April 28.   The event will be held at Norada Lanes on State Route 235 north of Ada, and will feature a Chinese Auction and 50/50 drawing.   The cost is $20 per person, and all proceeds benefit Safe Haven.   To register and to donate items for the Chinese Auction,  call 419-234-5850.

Kenton Holds Off Elida in Baseball Action

Kenton High School Varsity Baseball beat Elida High School 3-2. Kenton got a great effort on the mound by Ace Baum (4 2/3, 3 Hits, 0 ER, 0 Walks) and Garrett Thomas (2 1/3, 0 Hits, 0 ER, 0 Walks) in their 3-2 victory. Elida limited the Wildcats to just 1 hit, but the Wildcats had a total team effort to grind out the victory. Stats: Ace Baum: 1-1, RBI, 1 BB.
