Theft of Money Under Investigation

A theft was reported to Kenton police over the weekend.   According to the report, a Kenton woman told officers a named suspect stole $660 from her.   A 16 year old Kenton boy was charged with theft.

Kenton School Board Meets Tonight

The Kenton City Schools Board of Education is scheduled to meet tonight.   Mostly personnel matters are on the agenda.   Also, the Board will vote on  two money issues, one on whether to approve a bid for over $55,700 for roof repair at the Kenton Middle School and a bid for over $57,000 for brickwork at the Middle School.   The meeting will start at 7 this evening at the Kenton Elementary School.

New State Wildlife Officer Assigned to Hancock County

FINDLAY, OH – Antoinette Jolliff, 26, of Cardington, Ohio will be assigned as the new state wildlife officer in Hancock County, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife. Groveport Man Arrested on Union County Warrant

A Groveport man was arrested in Hardin County Thursday on a warrant from Union County.   According to the Daily Media Release from the Union County Sheriff's Office, a deputy from Union County met with a Hardin County deputy Thursday evening and took custody of 37 year old Andre J. Burke on the outstanding arrest warrant.   Burke was then transported to the Marysville Police Department and released after posting bond.

OSP Cruiser Struck by Semi; Motorists to Remember to Move Over or Slow Down

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is asking motorists to remember to Move Over or Slow Down.   That after a trooper's cruiser was struck by a semi this morning along Interstate 77 near Marietta while conducting a traffic stop. Marysville Man Arrested on Domestic Violence Charge

A Marysville man was arrested following a domestic disturbance call Thursday night.   According to the Union County Sheriff's Office Daily Media Release, deputies were dispatched to the 11,000 block of Rausch Road to investigate the domestic dispute between and husband and wife.   After further investigation, 41 year old Joshua L. Stevens was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Tri County Regional Jail.

Ohio Department of Education Holding Town Hall Meeting

Kenton Man Sentenced in Common Pleas Court

A Kenton man was sentenced recently in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.   According to the documents from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's Office:   .Gideon J. Wright was placed on five years community control with conditions on one count each of aggravated possession of drugs, trafficking in cocaine in the vicinity of a school or juvenile, trafficking in cocaine, possession of heroin and attempted tampering with evidence.   The case was heard by Judge Scott Barrett.
