Marion, Ohio — Sharon Putney, a student at Marion Technical College, has been named a 2019 New Century Transfer Pathway Scholar and will receive a $2,250 scholarship. Ridgemont Board of Education Hires New Treasurer

A new Treasurer was hired by the Ridgemont School District.   It was announced at a special meeting Wednesday evening that Melissa Pollom was hired by the Board of Education.   She was given a three year contract to manage the district's finances beginning April 8.   Pollom spent the past ten years as Assistant to the Treasurer at Tolles Career and Technical Center.   The Board thanked K-12 Business Consulting for assisting with the treasurer search.   Pollom will […]

Fatal Traffic Crashes on the Rise in Hancock County

Fatal traffic crashes have risen sharply this year as compared to last year in Hancock County.   According to a release from the Findlay Post of the Ohio State Patrol, in the first three months of 2019, there have been six fatal traffic crashes resulting in nine deaths. 6-State Trooper Project Netted Arrests for Drugs, Weapons

COLUMBUS – The Ohio State Highway Patrol and other members of the 6-State Trooper Project collaborated to remove drugs and illegal weapons from our communities. This initiative began on Thursday, March 7 at 12:01 a.m. and ended on Saturday, March 9 at 11:59 p.m. The high-visibility enforcement included the Indiana State Police, Kentucky State Police, Michigan State Police, Pennsylvania State Police, West Virginia State Police and OSHP. Camp 9-1-1 Being Held in Hancock County
