Kenton Senior Soccer Player Signs Letter of Intent

Kenton Senior Hayden Hicks signed his letter of intent to continue his soccer and academic career at U.N.O.H. Hicks became the all time leader goal scorer in Kenton Soccer history in his four years with the program and was a part of the most successful seasons in Kenton Soccer History. The team congratulated Hicks and wished him luck at the next level. They added that he will truly be missed on the field.

The Hardin County Sheriff's Office has been advised of a likely scam involving a person receiving a social media message from what seems to be a known friend or contact, inquiring if the recipient had been notified or had received money from "Poker and Mega bonus cash funds." Storm Spotter Training Class Cancelled

Hardin County EMA Director Jake Burgbacher and the National Weather Service have announced that the storm spotter training class for this evening has been cancelled.   Burgbacher said the decision was made due to the threat of severe weather this evening. United Way 2019 Campaign Comes Up Short of Goal

The 2019 campaign of United Way of Hardin County came up short of its goal, but not because of a lack of effort.   At the Annual Meeting held this morning, it was announced that just over $188,500 was pledged. The goal was $220,000.   Executive Director Darlene Foreman said the 21 partner agencies will be receiving their share of just over $155,000. Ridgeway Man Injured in Logan County Crash

A Ridgeway man was among two people injured in a crash that occurred this morning on State Route 347 in Logan County.   WPKO Radio reported that 32 year old John Payer was driving a car on 347 and a pickup being operated by 21 year old Austin Ehrman, of Columbus, was traveling in the opposite direction.   One of the vehicles went left of center causing a collision. Raymond Resident Named a 2019 New Century Transfer Pathway Scholar

Marion, Ohio — Sharon Putney, a student at Marion Technical College, has been named a 2019 New Century Transfer Pathway Scholar and will receive a $2,250 scholarship. New Century Transfer Pathway Scholars are selected based on their academic accomplishments, leadership, activities, and how they extend their intellectual talents beyond the classroom. Ridgemont Board of Education Hires New Treasurer

A new Treasurer was hired by the Ridgemont School District.   It was announced at a special meeting Wednesday evening that Melissa Pollom was hired by the Board of Education.   She was given a three year contract to manage the district's finances beginning April 8.   Pollom spent the past ten years as Assistant to the Treasurer at Tolles Career and Technical Center.   The Board thanked K-12 Business Consulting for assisting with the treasurer search.   Pollom will […]
